About Simonia's

Goa’s best known bakery for authentic Goan Traditional sweets since 1963. Specializing in delicacies such as Dodol, Doce, Bebinca, Pinagr (Pinaca), Bolinhas, Boll and much more.

Using only the finest ingredients, our authentic Goan sweets are still made the traditional way. Simonia’s are also well known for their baked treats like Fruit Cake’s, Biscuits, Toasts, Bread and Snacks.

Simonia’s has risen from a one man entity to an established business venture in the last 50 +years. The brand is owned by the Cardozo family, hailing from Saipem Candolim. Joao Cardozo along with his late mother Simonia Ritinha Cardozo established the business in 1963. The business was started with a handful of bakery products and was later expanded further with the introduction of traditional Goan sweets by Maria Caetana (wife of Joao Cardozo).

With 57 successful years behind the brand, today Simonia's is well known all across the globe wherever the Goan diaspora is present. With a single store in Mapusa market which started in 1969, today it has grown with stores located in Candolim and Porvorim. The business is presently managed by Assis & Jessie Cardozo ably assisted by Joao and Maria.
